Picnic Penguin

Heya my dear crafty friends!
I would like to enter my Picnic Penguin card - at the very last minute - in Gerda Steiner's Monthly Challenge. Hopefully the basket of this cute penguin isn't too heavy and we will get there in time...

Unfortunately we were too late. Don't tell anyone, but I think our cuties here have been a little too greedy and so they were slowed down quite a bit. ;o) Oh well, on to a short description on how I made this card: First I combined the last three digistamps from the challenge, because they all had something to do with food or drink and I thought they would go well together. I coloured the cute critters and the background with Copic markers.

I die cut a rectangle from the coloured scene and also put a "Scallop Die" to good use at the bottom edge ;o) Next I glued the panel to the card base, that I had covered with some lovely yellow striped patterned paper. After I had stamped the sentiment "Lass uns feiern!" ("Let's party!") my card was done. Hope you all had time for a lovely picnic already this summer and that you get to enjoy more sun than rain unlike us here in the Ruhr region.
